ADVENTURE CLUB

Let's go on an Adventure!

We believe that the best experiences are those which broaden our horizons as individuals and grow our bonds as a community.Not every body is an organized sports body! Some bodies prefer to get active by getting out and connecting with our planet.

Stonewall Sports Richmond's Adventure Club was created to help LGBTQ+ folks of all backgrounds and ability levels get out into nature. You might be an avid wilderness explorer, or you might be looking to get out of your comfort zone and try something new. We hope to plan the adventure you're looking for!

Typically, our Adventure Club has offered activities in the Summer and Winter seasons, but we are hoping to expand programming to offer seasonal adventures all year long. Some offerings we would like to expand on include:

Overnight camping trips
Hiking day trips
Biking day trips
Community cleanups
Snow tubing, skiing and other snow sports
Rafting and other water sports
Running or workout groups

We are currently seeking leadership to organize activities for the Adventure Club. If you would like to apply please fill out the interest form linked below.

Registration

Registration happens in the weeks leading up to each event. Cost may vary widely based on equipment/travel needs. Participants will be required to sign/accept the most recent Stonewall Sports Richmond participation waiver before their first adventure. This may be done by pre-registering on LeagueApps. Players may need to sign additional waivers for some adventures that come with added liability or that partner with other organizations.

Apply to lead Adventure Club

Do you have ideas for other adventures you'd like to help organize? Join the Adventure Club Committee! The committee consists of members, a chair, and the Wellness Director. We are currently seeking new members AND a chair!

Committee members should be ready and willing to meet virtually on a monthly basis to help plan upcoming adventures and to complete tasks outside of meeting times to make events happen. Committee members are also expected to attend and help lead at least some adventures based on ability and interest.
